About Everest Hospitality's President, Lance Schaefer

Lance Schaefer, President of Everest Hospitality, LLC, has over 25 years of direct hotel management experience. His background encompasses an extensive career in full-service, select service, boutique and resort properties including brands by industry-leading companies like Hilton, Westin Hotels & Resorts, Carlson Hotels Worldwide, Intercontinental Hotel Group and Choice Hotels International. During his tenure at these properties, Lance expanded his knowledge and skill set in all aspects of hotel management such as front office operations, housekeeping, maintenance, revenue management, sales and marketing, banquet services, human resources and executive administration.


Recent positions at Capstone Management Group, LLC and BASK Development, Inc. provided Lance with complete accountability for the success and growth of hotel operations and responsibilities that included executive-level oversight, purchasing, negotiations, financing, development and project evaluation. Lance is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Stout with a Bachelor of Science degree and a concentration in Hotel/Tourism and Property Management.


He is past President of the Board of Directors for Blackhawk Waterways Visitors and Convention Bureau, a four-county regional tourism bureau serving Northwest Illinois, and holds the professional certification title of Certified Hotel Administrator from the American Hotel and Lodging Association.
